Mina saw that a large bat was flying in the cemetery. She was not afraid of the bat but she was horrified because she saw that bat was sitting were close to Lucy and Lucy was sitting on the bench.
Mina went to Lucy but she was still looking in sleep. Mina brought her to house. She wanted to tell everything to her mother but due to her week health she couldn’t. Mina was very worried and scared due to all these happenings but she was very helpless.
Lucy’s mother was heart patient. Mina and Lucy both knew that any bad news can be fatal for her so both of them were hiding everything from her. Mrs. Westenra Lucy’s mother was also worried due to Lucy’s health many times she asked Lucy but every time Lucy satisfied her that everything is all right.
Lucy told Mina that whenever she was sleeping there were bad dreams but the worst thing is she even didn’t remember those bad dreams. Sometimes she was watching big black dog or some monsters and sometimes she was watching herself in strange ways. Lucy was very afraid she was planning about her future life with Arthur she did not want to die.
Mina was very worried. She was unable to help Lucy and on the other hand she was not receiving an information regarding Jonathan who had gone to Transylvania on the order of her boss Sir Hawkins. Mina could not even sleep at night. All night she was guarding Mina against unknown enemy.
Next morning Mina received a letter from a nurse who was taking care of Jonathan. Mina came to know that Jonathan has arrived in England. In the letter it was written that condition of Jonathan was not good and he was asking about Mina. Mina decided to go and meet Jonathan and with heavy heart she left Lucy and her mother.
