Professor Abraham Van came to visit Lucy but he did not mention her illness to her mother due to her own condition. He also met Lucy and he really liked her, she was full of life and trying very hard to hide her illness from her mother.
After detailed examination and having a long discussion with Lucy Van understands that it is no illness but actually Vampire was sucking her blood. Prof. Van had a meeting with Lucy’s mother and he did not tell her anything but convinced her that it is very important to take her care.
Dr. Van Helsing instructed Lucy not to open window at night time and he gave some garlic to keep it with her and he also put some garlic on the window.
Dr. Van has told reality to Dr. John Seward. John was very worried. He wrote letter to Arthur Holmwood fiancé of Lucy and told about her poor condition. John and Dr. Van was trying very hard to safe Lucy but they ere not getting successful.
After getting aware of Lucy worst condition Arthur came to visit Lucy. Dr. Van did not tell the real situation to Arthur. Arthur also denoted blood to Lucy. Artur was very worried because of his father who was very sick.
Lucy don’t want to make John worried. Their marriage was also very near. John told Arthur that Dr. Van is very capable you should have trust on him.
Arthur was very sincere with Lucy. He don’t want to lose her. Arthur assured Lucy that he can do anything for her and she should not lose her hope.
